EXPLORERS RAGING ROCKETS!

Explorers are invited on a FIELD TRIP to watch high-powered model rocket launches at TripoliMN – High Power Rocketry Club (approx 30 min north of CEFC in Harris, MN)!

The event starts at 10 AM so we’ll probably want to meet at church between 9-9:30 to carpool up. The event runs from 10-5, although we probably won’t stay that long–depends on how the kids are doing and how much rocket action is occurring!

Kids coming without a parent will need a permission slip.

We launch many rockets of all sizes from small models to the incredibly large. Some are 20 feet or more tall. Rocketry is truly a family activity for all ages. Kids (and those young at heart) are welcome to launch on our 12 low-powered launch pads, while the adults get to play with the really big and beautiful high-powered birds on our 8 high-power pads. Our FAA Certificate of Authorization is 21,000 feet MSL (mean sea level) which allows us to fly up to 20,000 feet AGL (above ground level).

Bring your sunscreen, a chair to sit in, and lots to drink. Come early as parking will be at a premium. There is no charge for spectators. We have sanitary facilities available and often have a food vendor: Brian’s Brats, serving brats, hot dogs, chips, & soda for a nominal (and quite reasonable) charge.
