Psalm 32
March 27, 2022, Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
We praise you today for the blessing you have showered on us through the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. You promised when we put our trust in Jesus, our sins will be covered. When we are open and honest with you, we can experience a sweet communion knowing that you won’t hold our shortcomings against us.
However, if we don’t respond to the tug of the Holy Spirit and confess our sin, our walk with you is negatively affected to the point we feel a tremendous weight dragging us down. Show us those areas of our lives where we need to honestly confess where we know our behavior is wrong. Maybe it’s an extra measure of patience we need to have with our children, co-workers, or family members that rub us the wrong way. Or maybe it’s the anxiety we feel because of the unrest in the world, especially in Ukraine. Show us how to rest, knowing You are in control and will be at work to glorify yourself in every situation. Help us to give our worries and our relationships over to You. May we feel the freedom from guilt when we are honest with ourselves and honest before You. Let the result of this be a joyful spirit to those arounds us because of the love and forgiveness we have found in You!
Heavenly Father we are grateful for the continued work of the Pastoral Search team. We know it has been a long process and we thank you for their diligence. We pray for an extra measure of energy for each of them as they continue to juggle this important responsibility in their busy lives. We thank you for the unity the team has had to this point and pray that this would remain a high priority for them as they continue to interview candidates. We thank you for answers to prayers by closing doors through your direction to this point. We also pray you would be working in the life of our future pastor. Please guide him by your Spirit to feel Centennial Church is where his gifts will be maximized to further the work of your church.
We thank you today for the encouragement Catherine has seen with the recent speaking opportunity she had to share about her bible translation ministry. Please bring more people with writing skills to her team as she has lost a couple of volunteers recently. Help give direction as she continues to work on resources that will instruct her team on the ways bible translation is being viewed globally. In addition, help Catherine to find time to rest in her hectic schedule.
We pray all of these things in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
And all God’s people said………Amen.
