Psalm 85
July 24, 2022
Heavenly Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
We praise you for your unfailing love toward us. The psalmist today reminds us that you are actively engaged in our lives. When we come seeking forgiveness, You choose to forgive all of our sins, not just 90%. Even though we don’t deserve it, you freely offer your grace as we seek to look to You. Thank you Father for accepting us where we are at, and not expecting us to get cleaned up to a certain point before you will offer forgiveness. We also rejoice greatly that our past does not dictate where we are able to go when we follow You. Help us not to listen to Satan’s lies that intend to drag us down. Rather, help us to listen to Your promises and be thankful for the peace we can have when we choose to follow You.
Heavenly Father we confess that far too often we let the hectic schedule of our lives crowd you out. Please give us the strength and resolve to make time for You. May we realize as we carve out time in our daily grind, your peace will wash over us in ways we won’t even expect.
We come before you today and ask that you will continue to be with the people of Ukraine as they struggle in their fight to remain free. Please use fellow believers in Ukraine to come along side those who do not know you yet. As the good news of Jesus is shared, help many Ukrainians come to know you in a personal way. Show them the peace they find in you will not only help them in their current hardship, but more importantly will last into eternity.
Father, we thank you for answering our prayers and allowing N, C, B and T to arrive safely in Thailand. We pray that you would grant them courage and sensitivity as they work to learn the language of Thai. Help their time of adjustment and getting settled to go well. We pray that they would be keenly aware of opportunities to share the love of Jesus to those around them. We continue to ask for physical strength for Nathan as he gets used to his new routine.
Heavenly Father, I also ask that you would continue to be at work in the lives of the people of Centennial Church. Please show us what it looks like to be people that bring glory to You. Help us to have hearts that truly break for those around us that do not know you yet.
We ask of these things in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
And all God’s people said………Amen.
